Going international from Colombia
The Salesforce partner ecosystem in Latin America continues to mature, and Colombian consultancies are proving they can win international tenders. Being awarded a Field Service Lightning project for a Chilean utility is a milestone for Colombia's technology consulting industry, and a mark of the quality of local technical talent.
The project: Field Service for utilities
The engagement covers a full Salesforce Field Service implementation for field operations management, including optimised scheduling, a mobile app for technicians, inventory management and real-time reporting. Its scope reaches more than 500 field technicians and integration with the company's legacy systems. Delivery will run in phases over eight months, with a team split between Colombia and Chile.
What it means for the regional market
Cross-border projects like this strengthen the standing of Latin American consultancies and open doors elsewhere in the region. Being able to deliver complex work remotely, paired with well-timed on-site visits, has become a competitive advantage for firms that have mastered the hybrid model.
